There is a known issue with this drive not working on modern computers especially notebooks and tablets due to their not being enough electrical current on the USB port. There are no drivers to fix this. The only real alternatives are to try the drive on another computer, change the current output on the port, or by some sort of adapter to give the driver the current it needs. Or buy a new device that is guaranteed to work on your computer. One last thing that may work is using the drive on the laptop while it is plugged into a charger, and make sure the laptop is in performance mode in regards to the CPU. I don't have any other computers to try the player with. The computer still recognizes the other USB devices I have used, such as my iPhone and external HDD. Unfortunately the DVD player is not listed anywhere under device manager - not under USB-controller and there is no Initio Combo Device Class, unfortunately. I don't think any drivers for the player have been installed on the PC since its upgrade to Win10 - the PC just doesn't see it anymore so it hasn't tried to install any drivers.
